Sun BBQ Fest June 1-3
Something exciting is about to happen at Mohegan Sun here in CT! The Sun’s first ever BBQ Fest set for June 1 -3rd promises to be the not-to-miss summer event for grilling, live music, and of course…decadent grill-inspired piggin’ out.
Host Mike Petit of NESN’s Grillseekers emcees three days of finger-licking events including a performance by DJ Chef as he spins and cooks at the same time; special guest Robert Cray; a Rib Eating Contest with Joey Chestnut, ranked first in the world by the International Federation of Competitive Eating, and live cooking demos courtesy of BBQ professionals like Dr. BBQ Ray Lampe, Lee Ann Whippen and Mike Davis.
Normally, admission is $30 per day including 8 food tickets for testing out authentic ribs from the following masters:
- Big Boned BBQ Co.
- Chicago BBQ Company
- Porky Chicks BBQ
- Real Texas Pit BBQ
- Texas Thunder BBQ
- Uncle Bub’s BBQ
But right now, I’m giving away a pair of tickets good for 1 day to whomever gives me the best comment on why they should get in for free.
