Lehigh Valley Wines
I’m making my first ever visit to the Lehigh Valley with one particularly memorable factoid…something that only a tourist would exclusively associate with the region…Billy Joel’s song “Allentown” is really about Bethlehem since the steel industry actually took place there. I will be exploring several wineries on the Lehigh Valley Wine Trail and staying in Bethlehem’s historic district. Preliminary research tells me the Moravians had a major role in settling this region, beer making enjoys a deep rooted heritage, and over the last decade, wineries have mushroomed on various family farms.
