Greenwich Food & Wine Festival

This weekend will be a true exercise in pacing myself.  I have 2 festivals back to back each day and both will showcase libations & culinary treats reaching royalty proportions.  Enjoying the finer things in life without overindulging can be tricky business.  It takes the right balance of good ‘ole fashioned restraint and cultivating the fine art of savoring quality rather than reveling in quantity.  Somebody has to lock into this sweet spot of gustatory nirvana and share with others, it might as well be me!

Greenwich Food & Wine Festival

What do you get when celebrity chefs, pit masters, and live music culminating with Gregg Allman occupy every square inch of a 6 acre park overlooking Long Island Sound? Well…I’m not sure but I’ll report back just as soon as I find out this Saturday!

Greenwich’s 2nd Annual Food and Wine Festival promises major partying with Culinary Village Tents offering savory tastings and demonstrations from more than 90 exclusive food, wine and spirit stations. A BBQ Pit Masters’ Tent will regularly share sample bites fresh off the grills. Regular admission tickets are $95 each and….because this is a charity event, 100% of that goes to charity.

Sun BrewFest

This weekend, the Uncas Ballroom at Mohegan Sun’s first ever Sun BrewFest, will transform into a tippler’s paradise. I’ll be sure to let you know my favorites from sampling over 100 beers, including Craft and Microbrews, Imports, Domestics, Limited Editions and Malt Liquors. Mingle with the best of brew masters and get the buzz on the beer-making process, while watching live demonstrations and mini-seminars. Rate each brew with your own score card and keep track of your favorites. Get your tickets now for only $20 each.
